Dr. Neelika Malavige is a well-recognized leader in the field of dengue. She is the Head of Dengue Global Programme and Scientific Affairs at DNDi. She is also a Professor at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. She previously was Head of the Department of Immunology and Molecular Medicine, where her research focus on dengue was to find out the therapeutic targets, notably mediators of vascular leak, the role of antibodies in disease pathogenesis, and correlates of protection in dengue.
