Dr. Hanover Matz is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Maryland. His PhD research focused mainly on the basic biology of the shark B cell response, and how the humoral immune system evolved in vertebrates. He also uses the IgNAR immunoglobulin isotype in sharks to address applied questions, primarily generating shark antibodies as diagnostic/therapeutic tools.
